Bible Activity

 

The Bible Verses Activity allows you to display a slide that contains the verse of the Christian Bible. Select the “+” button on the toolbar and select “Bible Verses Activity” from the menu.

  • Bible Version - Select the version of the Bible that the verses should be displayed from.

  • Bible Verses Label - The selected Book of the Bible, The Chapter and the verses range.

  • Select Verses - A button that displays a popup dialog for selecting the book of the Bible, Chapter and the verses range.

After tapping the “Select Verses” button a popup dialog is presented displaying a button for each book of the Bible. Choose the desired book by tapping on the button.

With a book selected, select the desired chapter.

With a book and a chapter selected, tap on a button to select the first verse to be displayed. If only a single verse is needed tap the “Select” button on the dialog’s navigation bar.

With the first verse selected, tap on a button to select the end verse to be displayed for a range. The the desired range is selected, tap the “Select” button on the dialog’s navigation bar.

With the Bible Verses Activity it is possible to allow Siri to speak the verses. Simply toggle the Speak Verses to on and select the desired volume. Additionally if the Advance type is set to “Activity Completion”, the slide will auto advance to speak the full range of verses.

  • Speak Verses - When enabled the text of the current verse is automatically spoken by the Siri assistant.

  • Spoken Volume - Slider that allows adjusting the relative volume of the spoken words. Only available when the “Speak Verses” switch is selected.

  • Test Speech - Allow hearing a preview of the currently selected verse. Only available when the “Speak Verses” switch is selected.

The label appearance may be altered. A customs font may be selected allowing the modification of a wide variety of label properties. Alternatively, the default theme font may be used but changing just the font size.

The Bible Verses Activity also has a special Image tab that allows adding an image as the background. Select the optional image source and the image from the popup from Photos or Files.

Blur is available to display a blurred version of the background, including an image to give a more abstract background.  In addition to omitting the blur (None), there are three levels on varying intensity.
